San Pablo Lake
Next to Otavalo and at the foothills of the Volcano Imbabura lies San Pablo Lake at 2660 meters of altitude. It is an oval shaped lake 3 km long and 2 km wide with depths of up to 80 meters.
This high altitude lake is permanent home for many aquatic species and also serves as a resting place and temporary home for migrating species.
