Guacamayo Ridge (Cordillera)

Beginning at 2800 MASL and winding down to 1900 Mts (4590 ft) is part of the Antisana Reserve area that can be very productive with mixed flocks rising to this eastern mountain range in search of food.  This is the last mountain range before going down to the northeastern lowland of Ecuador, and it is also neighboring the Sumaco National Park to the north.  This area forms a biological corridor between the Sumaco National Park and the Antisana Reserve.

This biodiverse area is home for the Black-billled Mountain Toucan, the Highland Motmot, the Green-and-black Fruiteater, and the White-breasted Wood-Wren, amongst many others.
